COUNCIL #722 SCHOLARSHIP OFFERINGS
Our Lady of the Rosary Council #722 Knights of Columbus of Sheboygan have two scholarship offerings. The $1000 Giles Doherty Memorial Scholarship is for a graduating high school senior who is a child of a Council #722 member and is pursuing a post-secondary education for the ensuing school year. The second offering is for children of Council #722 members who attend a Catholic Elementary School or Religious Education program. Below are details on each offering:
Giles Doherty Memorial Scholarship:
Eligibility is for high school graduates who are children of a member of Knights of Columbus #722 of Sheboygan and are pursuing a post-secondary education for the upcoming school year.

The completed application and all inclusions must be returned to Our Lady of the Rosary Council #722 of Sheboygan by May 1st prior to the 1st semester of fall classes. The Council #722 Scholarship Committee will select depending on funds available one or more recipients from all the applications received.
Giles Doherty Memorial Scholarship Application
Catholic Elementary School/Religious Ed/Confirmation Class Scholarships:
Any child (in pre-K or 4 and K12), of a Knights of Columbus member, who attends a Catholic Elementary School, Religious Ed Program or Confirmation Class, is qualified to receive $200. The total amount is not to exceed $600 per family. Any unused portion of the $200 for a child in a RE program or Confirmation Class, whose fee may be less, will be redistributed accordingly.
In the event that the male parent / guardian is not a current member of the Knights of Columbus Council #722 of Sheboygan, a one-year membership fee to our Council will be waived. You must be a member of the KC Council to receive this scholarship for a child.
To redeem the scholarship, one must present a valid receipt of registration from the school, RE, or confirmation program that your child is attending to our financial secretary. School registrations are due by June 24th for the fall semester and RE and Confirmation registrations are due by August 30th. Checks will be mailed to the appropriate schools at the beginning of July and will be credited to your student’s account. Checks to RE and confirmation programs will be sent around the first week of September.
The total amount of scholarship money, (open to all) is limited to $5,000. Scholarships will be distributed on a first come first served basis until those funds are depleted. We look forward to assisting as many families as possible and making new friends in our local Knights of Columbus!
